Before starting the review,i would like to thanx my friends KARTHIK NIJHAWAN (Shinning Rapper) and BHAGWAN SINGH GILL (Future of indian army) who suggested me to watch documentries and short films.RAMCHAND PAKISTANI is a pakistani film which made in urdu and dubbed in hindi.It is released in INDIA and PAKISTAN in 2008.It is very critically acclaimed movie.It has won lots of awards in different film festivals.According to Rajiv Masand (CNN-IBN),it is a master piece by Javed Jabbar and Mehreem Jabbar.
SCRIPT ANALYSIS
Story of Ramchand Pakistani is written by well known pak film writer Javed Jabbar.His story turn arround a hindu dalit family who lives between the border of indo-pak in bheemra village.His story show the conditions of that people who crossed the border by mistake and what happened with them when they catch by soldiers.His story is well written and heart touching.Dialogues of the movie are also written by Javed Jabbar.His dialogues suits to the subject of the film.He written dialogues in urdu and pakistani punjabi.This story turn around a dalit people so there are some abuse dialogues like as maadarchaud and bahanchaud (mother fucker and sister fucker).Screenplay of the movie is written by mohammad ahmed who written lots of stage plays in LAHORE.His screenplay is not good like as story.Over all script is good.
STAR PERFORMANCES
Syed Fazal Hussain plays the title role (RAMCHAND).He is life of the film.He is just 8 years old and did a great work.His expressions are damngood.Rashid Farooq a famous pakistani actor played the role of the father of the RAMCHAND.He is in extraodinary role.His urdu lines are good and his dialogue delivery and expressions made his character very energetic.Nandita Dass who is only indian actor in the film played the role of the mother of RAMCHAND.Once again,she proved that she is queen of off beat films.I think MAHESH BHATT SAAB must watch her performance and think again about the casting of JISAM 2.Because he is taking a bluddy porn star (SUNNY LEONE) in the film.Overall,all the actors has given great job.
DIRECTION
Mehreem Jabbar a very critically acclaimed film director donnes cap of director for this film.His direction and narration style made this film very entertaining.He has won the award of best director in FILM FESTIVAL OF DUBAI.His way to show the realstic cinema is amazing.
